Lake Lancelot

Location and Access

Lake Lancelot is adjacent to Lake Camelot in Peoria County, Illinois. It is located in Mapleton, not far from Peoria.

There is a west and south entrance to the lake. Located on the northeast side of the lake, residents will find a pool complex, recreational activities, and a boat ramp.

Fishing

Lake Lancelot is a 45-acre lake used for boating, jet skiing, tubing, and fishing. It includes a boat dock and a no-wake zone area.

The lake is well-stocked with catfish, walleye, bass, crappie, and bluegill.

Near Lake Lancelot

In the lake area, residents can enjoy various activities. It features Lake Lancelot, Lake Camelot, a swimming complex, playgrounds for young children, and a picnic area for a nice lunch outside.

They also offer volleyball courts, tennis courts, and baseball courts. There is a shuffleboard setup and baseball fields.

With characteristics of country living, Lake Lancelot offers a rural atmosphere to residents.

In case of an emergency, there are three high-ranked hospitals in the area just under 30 minutes away. Kindred Hospital is located just 20 minutes away, St. Jude Clinic is located 25 minutes away and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is located 25 minutes away.

The closest airport to Lake Lancelot is the General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport. This airport is located 15 minutes away from the lake area.

Schools

The quality of the schools in the area is above average. Illini Bluffs Elementary School, Middle School, and High School are the highest ranked in the area. There is also the option of Limestone Community High School.

City of Peoria

The city of Peoria is just under 20 minutes away from Lake Lancelot.

Located in the center of Illinois, there are many attractions for residents and visitors to see. It is known to be the largest city on the Illinois River which offers beautiful scenic views while still being downtown.

Some of the local favorite places in Peoria include the Peoria Riverfront Museum, Peoria Zoo, and the Luth Botanical Garden.
